Chicago, on Lake Michigan, is famed for its bold architecture, including skyscrapers like the 1,451-ft. Willis Tower and the neo-Gothic Tribune Tower. The city is renowned for its museums, including the Art Institute of Chicago with its Impressionist and Post-Impressionist works, and is known for its vibrant arts scene, numerous cultural attractions, excellent shopping, interesting architecture, Navy Pier and beautiful beaches that stretch along the waterfront. Denver, known as the Mile High City situated 5672 feet above sea level in the shadows of the Rocky Mountains, with 300 days of sunshine, brilliant blue skies and breathtaking mountain scenery. The Rockies make Denver a hiker’s paradise, with dozens of challenging trails, white water rafting and some of the finest downhill and cross-country skiing. The Art Museum is one of the largest Native American art collections in the world. Red Rocks amphitheatre surrounded by giant, ancient rock formations is famous for its one-of-a-kind outdoor concert venue.
San Francisco is one of the country’s most cosmopolitan cities known for cool summers, fog, steep rolling hills, eclectic mix of architecture, and landmarks including the Golden Gate Bridge, cable cars, the former Alcatraz Federal Penitentiary, Fisherman’s Wharf, and its Chinatown district which is the largest outside of Asia as well as the oldest Chinatown in North America.
