Sleeping cars include remodeled former sleeper and coach cars with modernized systems. They have four or five bedrooms that include a mix of categories accommodating eight or 10 passengers. Some may have a small lounge area.
Other types of ATs cars may also have some bedrooms.
Sleeping accommodations on Amtrak are relatively very small with up to 12 or more rooms or compartments in a single car, most sharing bathroom facilities.
Cars are completely remodeled; designed for optimum comfort.
